CFC-ASTD Accomplishments:
I have been a member of the CFC-ASTD Board since 2005, and I have held the VP of Communication, VP of Professional Development, and President roles. During my tenure as President and as a Board member, I was proud of these accomplishments.
- Membership grew by over 50% to approximately 230 members.
- A successful mentoring program was started that still continues.
- 6 highly successful professional development programs were delivered in just 1 year.
- Succession plans were implemented in every Board position that I held.
- I moved the chapter to their own domain (CFC-ASTD.org), setup email for the Board members and generic accounts, setup the e–commerce site for the chapter (through WildApricot), provided training, in–person and via e–learning, to Board members, and worked extensively on the chapter's Operations Manual.
Most importantly, I was the leader of an outstanding group of HRD leaders. Almost every one of my Board members significantly improved their career during their tenure on Board. All of them attribute a significant portion of their success to their time on the Board. It is my proudest achievement to say that I helped outstanding professionals achieve greatness. Having done this with a non-profit, volunteer Board makes it that much sweeter.
